A message from our Treasurer…Russ Bertrand

As we all know, hard fought elections unfortunately have become very expensive down the stretch…and this Senate race will be no exception.  Strong financial support is the essential life line that supplements our door to door efforts.  TV, radio, signage, and mailings quickly add up, and with your help, our name and message will be easily recognized & supported at the ballot box come this November.

On behalf of Team Bertrand I would like to personally Thank you in advance for your contribution & may God bless you for your ongoing support.

A call to serve... Three years ago while participating in a health care conference in Des Moines I attended a Legislative update presented by then Republican House Minority Leader Christopher Rants. As he walked us through the current Democratic agenda, I sat stunned as I digested the current assault on our states economic and social well being. As I left the conference Christopher's closing remarks echoed in my head, "We need help over here in Des Moines...we need good people to step up and serve." This call to serve hit me like a ton of bricks, and it was at that moment I decided to run for the Iowa Legislature.

I have proudly called District 1 home my entire life, and I am committed to go to Des Moines and represent our local interests, our neighbors, our great City, and Northwest Iowa. My vision for Iowa combines aggressive tax relief with first class education, and responsible spending discipline. My goal is to lead a new conservative movement in Des Moines that will empower individuals; trust local control, harvest graduates at all levels, and creates a state that invites new business investment while protecting loyal local employers.

The race for Senate District 1 and control of the Iowa Senate will be hard fought. My goal is to drive a positive campaign that focuses on job creation, while curbing this current environment of wreck-less runaway spending.

So what's next...I am asking you as my neighbors, Republicans, Democrats and Independents alike, to get excited and rally around my campaign. Talk to your neighbors, contribute, hang a sign, discuss issues, and most important...I am asking for your VOTE.

Sincere thanks in advance...
